Anya Volz is a New York City-based comedian originally from Vermont. The comedian has earned the acclaim of males across America for her funny comedy that is not preachy. She writes and creates material in Riot Fest: The Hard Times as well as Macaulay's Bunny Ears. The show was featured on BuzzFeed as well as Vulture in addition to appearing at several national comedy festival like The New York Comedy Festival. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is approximately half English in half Spanish. His father was Argentine with Scottish-English heritage. Her mother's ancestry is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's previous marriage. Family resided in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy explains that moving to London was traumatic and she was unable to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she moved from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. When she was 16 she left school to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy always knew that her dream was to become an actor. It was when she achieved that dream, Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, offered Taylor-Joy an opportunity to model.
