Barone was Gail Cunningham in The Shoes of Seinfeld season 4. She played a cook known as Elaine Benes who wanted shoes. In the early 1990s, Barone was a regular on Carol & Company alongside Carol Burnett. Barone also played Carol Willick Ross Geller's wife in Friends' initial episode. The show ended her time as she wanted to pursue an additional full-time job. She was replaced with Jane Sibbett. Barone was a guest in The Jeff Foxworthy Show in the initial season (from 1995-1996) as well as on The War at Home in 2005 until 2007. Barone was a co-star on Daddio (2000).
